Fleeting frosty footsteps of Autumn creep quickly now
All cycles set to renew
Leaves adorned with a beautiful hue
Season of cold is coming; but hope follows
That a long winter gives way
To Spring's warming breath and the season of death it swallows
..............................................................
FILL IN THE BLANK.

1. hmm
Gray is the ghost of ageless leisure,
Exquisite pain expired and pleasure;
No more nourished, the shriveled vine,
Extinguished wishes, wasted wine.

Rue is the road, of reft hereafter; 
Yellow, the leaf of love and laughter.
And autumn, burned in amber time,
November’s verse, now remnant rhyme.

2. Alrighty.
As the sun shines warmly and the rain falls sweet
Over field and forest and glen,
So the harvest swells and is gathered in
As the summer comes to its end.

For gifts of food and shade and stream
We shall thankful be.
For all these gifts from Nature's hand
We will always bless-ed be.

(You can sing this to the "Kings fold" tune.)

4. Here's the whole thing so far.
Fleeting frosty footsteps of Autumn creep quickly now
All cycles set to renew

Season of cold is coming; but hope follows
That a long winter gives way
To Spring's warming breath and the season of death it swallows
