Last March when the market took a dive, I bought a bunch of stock thinking he would turn the market around. At the same time most of my family and friends were selling. Now all that stock I bought has doubled and it looks like I'm going to have to pay some tax on it, if I sell it. He said no new taxes on the middle class. I'm at the bottom of the middle class and I'm going to be stuck. Even FOX news is ignoring me.
1. WTF? You doubled your money and don't want to pay income tax on it? That's not a new tax btw.
It's been around a long time.
Why don't you hold onto it for a year and you'll get the long-term gain tax of 15% if the regular income tax is too much of a hardship for you :sarcasm:
3. Well I Guess The People In Your Situation Will Vote Repug Next Time Around.......
so don't sell your stock until the new administration comes in. The market will go down again and you can take a loss. The Repugs will probably give you a tax write-off for the loss. Think you'll be happy then?
I gotta love your humor. Thanks for the laugh, we never have enough to laugh about these days. Congratulations on having the insight to make some profit.
