I wonder why so few Republicans have won the Nobel Peace Prize?
For Dems, there were Obama, Gore, Carter, Cordell Hull, George C. Marshall, and Woodrow Wilson. The only Republicans I could find were Kissinger(!), Frank B. Kellogg (who?), and Teddy Roosevelt (who probably should have been a Democrat and was eventually kicked out by the Republicans).

So, why do you think so few Republicans have won the Nobel Peace Prize?

Oh, yeah! Because it's a PEACE prize!

5. They're also not much on community.
Not really for all their talk. It's hard to win awards for what amounts to global community service if you don't serve. :)

15. I 'm going to a gated community today
to see my new great-nephew for the first time. My sister is a moderate, but my BIL is severely repug. I hope to escape without him saying something too stupid or racist.

17. Not really. They inflame their hatred. That's not serving them.

It's like supplying an addict. You're not serving them, you're helping them commit suicide.

12. Frank B. Kellogg

Interesting guy. He was a Teddy Roosevelt appointee who, with Aristide Briand, crafted the Pact of Paris wherein France and the USA renounced warfare with each other and all future signatories. Read about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellogg-Briand_Pact">here on Wikipedia.

What I'd give to have THOSE kinds of Republicans around again!
