It's mostly used in sales, but also can be highly effective in propaganda. Framing and/or reframing issues, reflecting the posture (mental and physical) of the other person, having your overarching theme be different from the stories or pieces that make up the theme, weaving commands/suggestions into the dialogue - like nodding your head as you describe something when you want someone to buy it.

Actually, Democrats in general could, and I would argue should, use more of these techniques. It's not voodoo. It alone is not brainwashing. It's just a set of powerful communication techniques. Fear not and Fox not :)
