President Obama will speak tonight to the nation's largest gay advocacy group, on the eve of a major demonstration in the capital by activists who are irate at what they say is his failure to meet campaign promises to the gay community.

Obama will address a $250-a-plate fundraising dinner, expected to draw about 3,000 people, hosted by the Human Rights Campaign. The group has put on annual dinners since 1996, but the only other president to speak at one of the events was Bill Clinton, in 1997.

taken 11 years. Give thanks for some progress.

18. thats all good..but by not endorsing gay marriage, he contributes to the hate

which defies the whole point of the Matthew Shepard act.
