Cheney: I'm not isolated, I go shopping . . .
. . . for my granddaughters

Q Senator Reid, who you mentioned earlier, the Democratic leader, said that he thought that President Bush had become more isolated over Iraq than Richard Nixon was during Watergate. You were around during those days.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I was.

Q Do you think that's true?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I do not. I think that's a ridiculous notion.

Q It's a ridiculous notion?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Yes.

Q Do you feel you have become more isolated?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I don't think so. I spend as much time as I can, get out and do other things -- at home in Wyoming, or yesterday I managed to go shopping with my daughter for a birthday present for granddaughters. But I obviously spend most of my time on the job.

10. Mateo Tepee - Bears Lodge
That's what the natives call "Devil's Tower"....its a sacred site....they hate the White Man's Name...

And Cheney's presence at the sacred site would require months of cleansing....

8. Good grief.
This administration spends more time shopping than my group of girlfriends and I did during our entire high school career.

11. Everytime we are in Jackson Hole and that piece of shit pulls up with all the Black SUV's, you can
see people feeling queezy....I was in downtown Jackson Hole a few years back and he walked in to shop with Lynne and my husband squeezed my hand so hard and begged me not to say a word. I literally was standing there biting my tongue, enjoying fantasies in my minds eye of what I'd love to say to him. But I had promised my husband that I wouldn't say a word....he didn't want me getting disappeared or worse....he wants me around to raise our kids...

Yeah, sure, Cheney gets out...in Wyoming maybe where its mostly Republicans (although Jackson Hole is and can be pretty liberal) and when he does, its surrounded by tons of Secret Service agents. Another weird thing that happens when he's in the area - and its wild - but you know when he's coming in Jackson because cell phone coverage suddenely goes out. I assume they scramble the cell towers or something for his majesty's safety. It's really weird...its kind of a joke amongst locals in Jackson...you can be on the phone and suddenely your phone service doesn't work and everyone goes "Uh oh, Cheney's coming"....

13. That happens too.....
:hi:

Just kidding....

Actually though, true story - this last August, we were at a friends property fishing and it was sunny and beautiful and suddenely some gray clouds and a brisk wind starting blowing out of no where and we look up and see a plane taking off from JAX airport and sure enough, it was Air Force 2, Cheney's plane....we all waved the birdies and laughed that the weather had suddenely turned just before he came.

That really happened and the cell phone coverage story I mentioned earlier is true too. Someone I spoke to about that said that the Secret Service apparantely uses some kind of scrambling device that interferes with cell phone communication for safety reasons. I'm in Jackson atleast 5 times a year and it happens every time Darth Cheney is in the area, I shit you not.
