He must be doing something right: Evasive McCaughey calls Ratigan "a disgrace to journalism"

Anthony Weiner and Betsy McCaughey brought their act to MSNBC this morning, where Weiner -- unlike last night -- was a relatively mellow presence while host Dylan Ratigan tangled bitterly with McCaughey.

"You're not behaving like a moderator you're behaving like a partisan," McCaughey said toward the end of the clip. "I'm behaving like somebody who isn't getting an answer to his question," Ratigan rejoined, and their sparring consumes much of the last couple minutes of the clip.

As McCaughey's presence on MSNBC suggests, she's in the process of becomng an asset to the left, as her appearances seem to spur debate mostly about her -- and by extension her allies -- credibility.

I'm told it got even more bitter after the cameras turned off...

I know I'll probably get slammed for this but I think Ms. McCaughey developed some lazy bad habits when she was young and pretty. I know I got away with spouting bullshit when I was smooth and perky. Fortunately, I learned to back up my arguments with facts. Poor Betsy thinks she can still coast on her looks.
