andrea mitchell can't help letting her bias show.
she can't believe that the white house gave white lab coats to doctors if they didn't wear their own....(at white house 'doctors' meeting)

she also said afghanistan was 'a mess' in talking with barry mccaffrey

i wonder if she asks her husband, alan greenspan, about the mess he left in washington?

1. Absolutely true... a mess left by Alan Greenspan! And the rest of the herd back then!
Greed! Greed! Greed! Allowed to run full swing.

2. Everybody knows doctors wear their white coats EVERYWHERE!
Edited on Tue Oct-06-09 12:32 PM by Barack_America
Even to bed.

Seriously. Doctors' white coats typically have their names and institutions stitched on them. Had they worn their own coats they could have been seen as speaking for their institutions, not just themselves. That's a professional no-no.

But, giving the shit Mitchell passes of as "journalism", I'd doubt she understands what professionalism is.

4. Lately I've been having a hard time deciding whether I hate Andrea or Mika more.
I think I'll have to settle on "equally".

This woman's fucking HUSBAND is one of the biggest factors in the destruction of this nation and she has the audacity to criticize the Obama administration for petty bullshit?

Fuck her.

13. Question is, why was Mitchell allowed to stay NBC covering government when Shriver was forced
to resign from NBC after Ahnuld became Governor. Shriver did Dateline puff pieces and human interest stories.

Add to that, governing California and dictating national (really, international) monetary policy are in a much different league as far as conflict of interest goes.

8. Read my post. It was sarcastic.
Most of the doctors probably did not want to wear their white coats, which usually list the hospital where they work. They were representing themselves, not their employers.

18. White coats are for medical offices and hospitals.
It was a bit weird them to be wearing them in the White House. Sounds a little "costume-y" to me but they were trying to get a point across...it just becomes a bit much to me...

19. Doctors are used to it. If you want to speak out about an issue as a doctor...
...you wear your white coat.

If you're a veteran who wants to make a point about veterans' issues, chances are you'll wear your uniform.

If you're a chef, you'll wear the hat.

etc.

21. Since I agree with this administration I don't care to make too much of it.
It just seems to me that the white coat is a bit different than a military uniform, which could be worn anywhere...not a biggie to me, just my observation...

23. Well, that's one reason they needed the loaner.
Because you normally don't wear your white coat while just walking around. It's not hygienic, for one.

The other reason being that one's employer is normally identified on the official white coat.

24. "hygienic". See that's why I don't like this thing. That means the white coat means
"clean." That means to me that the medical office or the hospital where I see my doctor is in a special, clean space. Coming into the White House where white coats are being handed out just doesn't do it for me... call me silly...

I still love Obama!Don't get me wrong.

26. Bacterial is often transmitted on medical clothing.
That is why we are asked to not wear our white coats and scrubs outside.

You may be interested in this video. Note how many of the doctors are wearing their own white coats, as evidenced by their names being stitched on them.

5. I had exactly the same thought.
Every time I hear her discuss Afghanistan, she says something like, Isn't the president boxed in?

I've also heard her suggest the public option is dead several times since early summer. Sometimes she even hints that dems haven't realized it yet.

16. And needless to say "Mission Accomplished" aboard the aircraft carrier!
And similar when he posed in New Orleans giving the speech that night on how New Orleans was so under control! They had to fly in huge diesel generators just to light the buildings behind him... And then the ones at his Crawford ranch in front of the beat up barn... basically imaging, "I'm just a good old country buy, one of you!" Sick!
