Bush is STILL looking for a "War Czar"?
Edited on Mon Apr-16-07 01:52 PM by ck4829
I don't get it, why doesn't he just nominate someone who was a member of PNAC or a current member of the AEI already, he's done this with the rest of the Administration, why not this position as well?

5. I don't get the "war czar" thing
Doesn't the Secretary of Defense oversee the war and all other military actions? Is he looking for someone who will actively seek out new wars?

15. "War Czar" = Patsy I can blame things on.
No one wants to be Bush's war bitch. The "Czar" will take the heat off of him until he can scoot out the White House door when his term is finally over. No sentient person in the world (yes, that includes even neo-cons) wants to be in "the hot seat", taking the heat from Bush's mistake. He started the damned thing, let him take all the heat.

6. I hear Don Imus needs a job...
Or, how about little Pierce Bush, he's a Nazi already, and a member of The Bush Crime™ Family to boot! He'll march in lockstep to the program!

7. Don't we already have one?
What is the commander in chief, or secretary of defense, or chairman of the joint chiefs role? It's obvious any war is failing when you need a Czar. See: drug czar, poverty czar, {insert war} czar.

8. Exactly
I don't get why he wants/needs a war czar. What is the purpose of it? What role would the war czar play? What job would he do that isn't already being done?

11. If Bush names a War Czar can we strip him of the Commander in Chief title?
Seems to make sense to me if he's not running his own war anyway.

12. How about Pat Robertson?
Pat already know who needs to be whacked.

And with his direct pipeline to the almighty, he'll have this thing won in a heartbeat, and maybe get rid of Hugo Chavez at the same time.

13. Pat doesn't dirty his own hands. He orders god to whack
all the people he doesn't like, meaning about 70% of us at last count.

My own prediction is that the candidates will be Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, or that lunatic Boykin.

Rummy's unemployed, Wolfowitz is soon to be so, and Boykin is crazy enough to take the job.

16. Paul Wolfowitz might be available.
Maybe he'd be interested in the job. Bush really needs someone with his kind of expertise. :sarcasm:
