Does Ken Burns have it in for Douglas Brinkley?
I'm reading Brinkley's book, WILDERNESS WARRIOR, about Teddy Roosevelt and the building of the National Park system and the roots of modern conservationism in America. It's a big book...nearly 900 pages, close to a thousand with the bibliography and other sourcing. I love Brinkley's book, but it's no page-turner. I can pick it up and put it down at any time. It might take me a while, but eventually I'll finish it. It really is interesting.

But now...this Ken Burns series...it's like...all the best parts of the books so far, and more...without having to read a 900 page book. Should I just turn it off now, and finish the book? Has anyone else actually finished WILDERNESS WARRIOR yet?

.
