I think we are jealous.
Edited on Wed Sep-30-09 05:38 PM by kimmerspixelated

Do you find yourself just a little bit jealous of the right's so called "patriotic" protests?

They have the audacity to stand up (however ignorant it is), and get ALL the attention, when in fact, for 8 long years, we had every reason to protest and did, but somehow, most of our complaints got swept underneath the rug.

These fuckers...however.. are being listened to! Frontpage news! Twerps!

Fingernails down the chalkboard!

Asshole teabagger racist nutwads!

It pisses me off!

1. The media loves an underdog and tends to focus on the party out of power when it complains.

2. Bullshit
They sure didn't focus on *us* when we were out of power. And don't say we didn't complain, we did.

3. That is true
When people protested the wars there were hundreds of thousands and that got a small amount of press. People were silenced as "unPatriotic" and other bullshit. When hundreds of thousands of people protested for immigration reform, there was not the fervent coverage that 50,000 crazy teabaggers got. The media often dismisses left and progressive protests and give any stupid right wing protest legitimacy.

5. Our protests get blacked out by the media. Look at all the anti-war protests.
They were massive. And invisible.

6. No jealousy here,it's their turn. I fondly remember the 60's and 70's.
The cycles of life(and politics)just go marching on.
