So it is now accepted that Levi is a truth-teller, that she DID quit to cash in while she could. So she doesn't even have moose-hunting as a topic, since Levi said she never did it.

Sarah's lectures a tough sell

SARAH Palin is said to have pocketed a $7 million advance for the 400-page memoir she turned in four months early, but she might not have such an easy time on the lecture circuit.

After quitting as governor of Alaska in July, Palin signed with the top-notch Washington Speakers Bureau, which also reps George W. Bush, Laura Bush, Condoleezza Rice, hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger, LA Dodgers manager Joe Torre and magician David Blaine.

Palin's bookers are said to be asking for $100,000 per speech, but an industry expert tells Page Six: "The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot."

Many big lecture venues are subscription series, "and they don't want to tick people off," said our source. "Palin is polarizing, and some subscribers might cancel if she's on the lineup." Other lecture buyers are universities, which have a leftist slant, and corporations, which dislike controversy.

"Palin is so uninteresting to so many groups -- unless they are interested in moose hunting," said our insider. "What does she have to say? She can't even describe what she reads." ....

3. That there has ever been a question about listening to her speak
just boggles the mind. My ten-year-old son is better looking, better informed and certainly more entertaining.

5. There have also been several reports that she has been a no show
at some events where she had apparently accepted invitations to speak. That might make some a little leary of booking her.

6. That's true...but when you're getting paid to show up it's a little different
From my understanding, none of these "did she or did she not say yes" no-show situations involved any contribution to Sarah's pockets and I haven't heard of anyone actually putting money down to cover expenses (travel, lodging, etc...) under the pretense that Palin said "yes" to appearing.

I really don't see the grifter pulling a no-show when $100,000 or more is waiting to be collected. That said, I can't imagine that anything she has to say is worth $5,000 (much less $100,000) unless your event is using Palin as a fundraiser draw.

7. You've got a point there. I don't know if any of the appearances that
she skipped were paying gigs.

8. Her right wing whacko rants are tiresome and boring
She emotes like a seventh grader talking gossip in the restroom between classes. Her shrieky, half "valley girl" half "Michelle Bachmann" accents will empty out a room in less than three minutes. No value for the money, imo.

9. This is what she quit the AK governorship for
Saw the dollar signs with the speakers bureau and waited for the dough to start rolling in.
Worked out real well . . . . not.

10. Watch her to become even more Ann Coulterish
Nobody cares, about her opinions on foreign policy or the economy, not even the right. She has some deluded notion that not only will these appearances make money but perhaps they'll solidify her creds for a 2012 run for president. That's not what people are hiring for. They want to hear more about death panels and dirt about McCain and bashing liberals. Whatever outrageous statements she can dream up, the more outrageous the better. She'll catch on soon, when enough of her appearances are awkward, embarrassing flops. Then look for her to lurch even more sharply into Ann Coulter territory.
