Keith Olbermann to do NBC's Football Night in America
I reported on this rumor last week, and I just want to update this.

Monday, Apr 16
Olbermann Becomes Co-Host Of NBC's "Football Night In America"
MSNBC host Keith Olbermann is returning to network sports after a six year absence as a co-host of NBC's Football Night in America.

"This will, obviously, be great fun and a great privilege for me," Olbermann says. "To be reunited with NBC Sports, and Dick, and the entire production team, produces all the warm-and-fuzzies you'd be expecting. And even if they weren't old friends and colleagues, to get to work with the nonpareil of sportscasters in Bob, and the most insightful and honest of sports analysts in Cris, will be rewarding and challenging. I hope I can hold up my end of the equation."

Is a weekly show that occurs as the pregame for Sunday Night Football.

3. Can't wait to hear the freepers whine about this.
Their boy, Comedian Rush Limbaugh, lost his Monday Night Football gig because he couldn't keep his damn yap shut.

4. Ive heard a ton
They are complaining because of Rush, yet they dont understand that KO is very knowledgeable about sports as seen by his career at ESPN.

12. Remember the Dennis Miller on MNF fiasco?
The freepers had two chances and blew it.

Olbermann will do great because he actually knows the game.

14. Exactly. I remember his days on ESPN and Fox Sports.
He'll do fine, much to their dismay.

5. The fact that NBC is doing this is proof
that KO has reach that is broader than what Freepers would like to admit. As for KO's sports knowledge, check him out everyday from 2-3 pm on The Dan Patrick Show on ESPN radio. He is as up to date and facile with sports as he is with regular news. KO is a stud and will not go the way of Miller or Limpballs because of this. Just listen to him today! Out.

That seems to be his true passion.

11. Thanks!
I thought it was a pre-game show before Monday Night Football -- just goes to show you how little I care about pro football! Of course, with a home team like the Lions, why in the world would anyone here be interested?

13. This is GREAT News
It will broaden KO's recognition and appeal to sports fans of all persuasions. And later, once they stop channel surfing to watch a bit of his political show, they'll be hooked.
