The O'Brien twins are finally gone from CNN.
Not much fanfare, that's for sure. I never heard either Sosobad or Smiles mention the end of their Reign of Error on CNN's "American Morning" show (or "American in the Morning" as Larry King keeps calling it this morning).

Anyone know where they went? Or why I actually seem to care?

1. Don't know
Don't much care. Don't much watch cnn. If they fell off the end of the universe, it would matter little.

2. Am I the only one who liked them? I watched this tart Kiran, who
appears to be wearing no skirt, you could see so much thigh, and I turned the TV off. I instantly missed Soledad.

These two new goobers -- sheesh. Sosobad had personality, and she wasn't hard on the eyes, either, even when she was rotting my teeth with her sugar-sweet outlook on everything. Smiles, he was an empty shell who was only "on" when talking about his precious airplane or making horrible grade-school puns. But they seemed sufficiently "lightweight" for a morning program. Unfortunately, CNN never got any heavyweights to fill in the actual news content in between the smiley bits.

12. He had a perpetual woodie for planes and space anything
B-O-R-I-N-G. Remember that godawful segment they did featuring his goober kids and their preferences for XBox, PlayStation or whatever the hell that other thing is? It was a horrible piece of garbage.

8. Yes
I doubt Chetry will be winning any journalism awards in the near future. CNN shouldn't have changed hosts, especially with Imus gone now they could have improved their ratings.

Although, I'm not surprised as their seems to be no logic to any of the changes at CNN.

3. I think CNN should run a couple hours of Duke Ellington and Joni Mitchell
music every morning.

News doesn't seem to be their long suit.

20. Yep. June's got it together. In a pre-Eisenhower kind of way.
"Beaver" reruns? I'm in.

Excellent programming suggestion for CNN.

6. There is a magical place where the lost boys and girls of CNN go when

their special thoughts deal more in fantasy than reality: Faux News.

Try there.

13. I thought the O'Brien duo did a pretty good job with American Morning........
Edited on Mon Apr-16-07 09:45 AM by Double T
BOTH will be STAYING with CNN as correspondents. I like John Roberts and we'll see what happens with former fox news's Kiran Chetry.

Oh frabjous day... wonder if a.m. CNN will be worth a watch now? They need someone of Keith O's caliber on then... if there is such a someone (and then if CNN would give them voice). Oops, I think the wishful thinking stops there.

17. I left them after Carol Costello left. Then I made a smart move and went
to MSNBC and Imus. After I saw Imus scream at a floor man for some stupid reason right on camera, live, I sat down and wrote a letter to Abrams. TV has lost to my morning paper. Whew!!
