Gunman Robs Citrus Heights Church--Then Gives Loot Back

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA - Police investigators were looking for an armed man who robbed a Citrus Heights pastor in his church Sunday morning, then had a change of heart and gave the property back, according to a Citrus Heights police spokesman.

The incident happened at the Antelope Road Christian Fellowship on Antelope Road around 9:45 a.m., Citrus Heights police Sgt. Eric Mattke said.

Mattke said the church pastor walked into the church office to find a man inside. As the man was being escorted out of the office, he brandished a handgun, and escorted the pastor back inside, Mattke said.

Once they were back inside the church office, the gunman apparently changed his mind about the crime, returning the property he'd stolen back to the pastor before leaving the church.
