ANyone listening to AAR now? Who on earth is that?
Granted, I'm not much of a Young Turks fan, but geebus, bring them back!...

This guy rattles off more verbage--without saying anything--in 10 minutes than I've ever heard... I woke to it, having my XM set as an alarm. Now, I'm ready to throw something heavy across the room.

Seriously? How does one spew so many words without saying anything?

6. without Sam Monday thru Friday watch their ratings drop
quickly, they are making a big mistake with Sam being on only on Sundays, and that won't be for another month. Damn them to muzzle Sam, a man who has so much to say. I will go back listening to Stephanie Miller again.

2. Agreed! And what an abrasive voice!
A whole lotta words, but not much content, and the man's voice is annoying as hell. Jeez, what's wrong with the management at Air America?

3. Sigh.
I swear, it's like AAR is TRYING to drive us away! I understand that Young Turks are off today and this is just a temporary replacement, but good grief! I'm not even all that crazy about the Turks (although I like them better since Jill left and it's just the two guys.) But I have started turning them on every morning to hear the early news.

Every time I settle into a routine with AAR, the programming changes and what I was listening to is jerked away.

I'm sick about the loss of Sam Seder on the weekdays.

5. Sam's show was the only one I listened to in total
I spend about 6 hrs in my car a day and listen to AAR on XM. I could take or leave the Young Turks, but Sam was must-listen radio (w/ my XM receiver, I could pause it at times I was out of my car, and then pick it up where it left off when I return). I'm home by the time Randi comes on, and Ed Shultz is, well, not very progressive, IMO. Sam was it for me.

AAR was a great idea at the time (well, maybe NOT its business model;)), but they're becoming more mediocre with every passing week.

Lionel (Sam's replacement) sucks (I listened to him years ago on WABC in NYC when he was paired up with the incredibly stupid conservative Mike Gallagher). AAR definitely screwed the pooch on this one...:(

7. Agree... Sam was my favorite...
All the others, well I will listen to Randi on occasion, Rachel, RIng of Fire on the weekends, but the rest... yech. Guess it is time to rethink paying for XM...

4. Here's the AAR schedule on XM radio- I'm done
5A- Mark Riley
6-9 The Young Turks
9-12 Some guy named Lionel
12-3 Ed Shultz
3-6 Randi Rhodes (The last good show on AAR- her time is limited)
6-8 Rachel Maddow (The last semi-good show on AAR)
8-9 Eco Talk
9-10 Politically Direct
10-12 ??? (I'm listening to Malloy online- Nova M)
Then they usually replay some combo of Randi and Ed after midnight.

crap, crap, crap with two possible exceptions

9. It looks to me that the people that bought AAR went shopping
like a guy that goes shopping for a car he plans to drive in a demolition derby.
Look for one with a lot of nice stuff that can break off, then run that sucker into the ground.

11. that's a good idea.... I used to love "waking" to Bob Edwards
Time to make the switch. Nothing I want to hear on AAR in the mornings now. Damn this pisses me off, though having been a strong supporter of AAR premium and even purchasing XM specifically for AAR.
