FYI the US mint is no longer selling gold/silver eagles due to demand
I just sent this PM to a person asking me how to buy gold easily. Just an FYI for anyone here who thinks buying gold now isn't important.....

"How do you buy gold?"

I like to do it by buying US gold eagles. A couple reasons for this. One is that you can trust the source. (the US Mint) Secondly they are all standard. The amount of gold in the coin is printed on the face, so no one can lie to you about how much they are worth/how much gold they contain in the future.

Third they are easy to handle. They are simple coins.

A LOT of people are not aware of this, but there is a gold/silver shortage right now. In fact if you go to the US mint to try to buy a US eagle you get the following message

"Production of United States Mint American Eagle Gold Proof and Uncirculated Coins has been temporarily suspended because of unprecedented demand for American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins. "

A year ago I could buy this eagles off the US mint web site easily. They have not been available for months now, so I have been having to go to individuals on Ebay.

The fact that the US mint can not produce any more gold/silver eagles because of demand simply reinforces my belief getting cold and silver *now* while you still can is extremely important.

1. these are for sale
Cost is high however - $1389.00 for one gold coin (a collector's coin it is btw) - not a great deal. Re: Silver - some to be found on this site if you look around a bit. :D
