1. "Conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction"
How about "conspiracy to be nauseated by the idea of a criminal prosecution that requires no criminal action"?

2. Hmmmmmm. So what do you think we should do in this case?
What would be your recommendation?

4. I'll be interested to see what evidence develops
Sensational opening charges seem to give way to far more pedestrian violations once the case goes from the exclusive province of the prosecution to the courts, where the accused also get a chance to say something. I had hoped that this sort of trial by sensationalism (up to and including the Babylon 5 locution of "weapons of mass destruction") had gone away with the expiration of the Bush administration.

I'll bet a $10 donation to DU that if Zazi is finally convicted of anything warranting jail time (as opposed to being held pending deportation), it will be for a relatively minor transgression, hardly warranting the hyperventilating "terrorists in our midst" reportage that has marked this case so far.
