Fresno, CA (KFSN) -- Dennis Cook visits a Central Fresno Jack in the Box at least once a week. On Thursday, he discovered it was closed.
Dennis Cook visits a Central Fresno Jack in the Box at least once a week. On Thursday, he discovered it was closed.

" I was gonna come over here and it was dark already and there was no lights on so I asked what was going on next door over here at the store, and they said it was something with the electrical they thought, but we didn't know what was going on," said Cook.

Abe Alizadeh owns three companies that run the fast food franchises. The state says he owes more than $4-million dollars in back taxes.
In a statement released Thursday, a Jack in the Box representative said, "The Company is hopeful that the restaurants will re-open shortly to minimize disruption to employees and guests, as well as the Jack in the Box brand."

A total of 70 Northern California Jack in the Box restaurants, including 21 in our part of the Central Valley are temporarily closed because the owner hasn't been paying taxes.

2. Jack in the Box in Cambridge, Mass
was the only place to get a greasy fast food taco in the greater Boston area in the 70s. Their extra hot sauce was barely warm, but the mystery meat was decently seasoned, at least by New England standards.

Every expat in the area had a secret Jack in the Box taco Jones.

I hope the chain survives. They were the only ones providing real spice to the bland New England cuisine scene back then.

He owns three companies which run the franchises for him, rather.
