I am trying to motivate some volunteers, which is difficult in my district for a variety of reasons. Looking for ideas here!
I am curious what would motivate Progressives, Democrats, Liberals and the like to come out at the present time to get active in a variety of issues. The topic de jour at this time is obviously Health Care Reform, and the Democratic Party and Harry Reid in my area have been pretty apathetic about getting folks out to reform rallies or any other kinds of meetings.
There are a whole host of other topics, however, that progressives could be organizing around now and in the future, especially with the 2010 midterm elections just around the corner.
So, I am curious what progressive activities DUers participate in, in terms of actually getting out of the house and going to lectures, meetings, rallies, etc. If you want to give details of how many meetings you attend, what you are addressing currently in these meetings, etc. - please do - I'd love to hear what others are doing!
How Many DUers Attend Meetings for Progressive Causes on a Regular Basis?
On edit, if you attend meetings, please feel free to describe what you are all talking about right now. I really want to know what other progressives are discussing! Thanks again!
