They told NBC news that there is DNA evidence that shows him to be at the murder scene.

1. It's nice that they gave him warning to skedaddle...
Hope they have a new helicopter ready for the chase!

his body. He also worked in the animal lab which is in the basement where Annie Le's body was found.

9. He also sent
her a series of e-mails that are of a nature that caught the investigators' attention.

7. I hope they've got more than that.
Considering he works at the murder scene.

I hope they got either a match from skin under her nails or the bloody clothes that were stuffed in the ceiling.

This guy needs to never know freedom again. Not only did he murder Annie Le, but he was known to abuse both his girlfriend and his dog. Those sorts of people can't be rehabilitated.

8. I'm sure they have more.
He will be convicted. The investigators appear to have done a good job. This is a disturbing case.

10. This case just bums me out. Poor Annie. I live in CT and Yale is a great campus.
Love the old buildings there and take my kids to the Yale Peabody Museum all the time.
Unfortunately there has been murder there before. Suzanne Jovin was murdered in 1998 (I was in college at Central CT State U at the time as well). I remember this case...never found who killed her.

11. The campus must be lovely. I've never been there. What bums me out about
this, one more woman dead at the hands of a man.

12. Yup. At least they got him...at a Cromwell hotel.
Edited on Thu Sep-17-09 01:37 PM by Jennicut
I am surprised that is as far as he took off too. Cromwell is not that far but really nothing in CT is too far away, its a small state. I think the police were keeping an eye on this guy the whole time too.

When I was at Central, we were always told never go anywhere on campus alone, especially at night. And lots of other women there carried pepper spray. Not sure if it would have helped in an actual attack but it did make you feel safer.

13. Yeah, certain areas of New Britain are not the best of places to be late at night...
especially if you are a female and alone.

My wife went to school at SCSU, and that wasn't exactly in the best of neighborhoods either. There were usually a couple of murders a year in that general vicinity (Whalley Ave., especially).

14. Southern and Central are both in not so great sections.
I lived in a dorm furthest from the classrooms and dining area so it was a hike to get back there. I had one late night class and it freaked me out a bit.
My now sister in law went to Southern and never felt too safe there either. Although, sometimes the city itself was not the problem but the other students. We did have one student try to shoot another back in the late 90's at Central.

15. America can rest easy. When an attractive young woman dies, we have to know who did it.
Forget all that other news. THIS is what matters.

Does this mean we don't get to punish her fiance for it?
