Are there levels of stoopid?
Edited on Fri Sep-11-09 06:40 PM by madamesilverspurs
Has it ever been charted? Is there a graph somewhere? Some kind of gage? A meter?

I'll cop to the first level, having just tried to engage a birtherbagger in an intelligent discussion about healthcare. About thirty seconds in, he quoted Anne Coulter at me, something about evil liberals, to which he added "...and that was long before Obama came on the scene." Then he puffed out his chest, crossed his arms and smirked.

At least he had the decency to stomp off when I asked, "Are you actually BRAGGING about reading Coulter? Really??"

We got some coffee, sat down, looked at each other and shook our heads. There but for a few brain cells. . .

2. It might just be a downward sliding scale,
somehow calibrated, but most of it seems to have already landed on the dark side of absolute zero.

I thought there couldn't be anything dumber than the dust-up about parents not allowing their children to hear a speech by the President of the United States.

Then there appeared Joe Wilson, who now has zillions of supporters who think what he did is simply wonderful.

I'm not sure there's any end to this, my friend. It's entirely possible that teh stupid is bottomless, and what we're experiencing is simply the icing on the cake.

I am impressed, I must tell you, that you dared to get close to such an individual, physically close, in real life. I find that imminently courageous, and I do hope you had a can of Lysol close at hand...........

Would have used a strigil if there'd been one handy. Ew. These people need to have some kind of warning label, yes?

9. I'm afraid the pit is bottomless. The well is deep.
Witness the recent Acorn scandal. My wife and I looked at each other and said, how can anyone be so stupid.

Just when you think you've seen it all, something else al.ways comes along
