There is something of a vague similarity...

Still, legally speaking, was McCurry there first and did the owners know anything of McDonalds and their look? If "no" to both, then it's certainly just that McD lost.

After all, Lindows isn't Windows...

5. Coming to America

Cleo McDowell: Look... me and the McDonald's people got this little misunderstanding. See, they're McDonald's... I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds.

6. "Coming to America" is the title, I think.
Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are in it.

9. "Coming to America" - had some crude jokes even I wouldn't make, but the movie WAS
hysterically funny...

John Amos played the owner of "McDowells". A great man... hates Jimmy Walker. I can't blame him; he and Esther Rolle wanted to do so much more on that show, and in comes Jimmy and turns it into a dumb pantomime with CBS's blessing... (they were right, on a number of issues, and got hammered because Jimmy's antics were what was "important". Notice, all Jimmy does nowadays is kiss up to... Ann Coulter of all people?! )
