No public option = No Mandate.
If a mandate is even in the picture it must come with the public option.

That is the bottom line.

1. That's been my line.
If they try to pass a mandate without an EFFECTIVE public option I will urge my representatives to defeat it.

5. That is probably the only bill that I'd want the president to veto.
Most other options being discussed would still move the ball forward.

This one is definitely a step in the opposite direction.

I don't want to criminalize the uninsured, nor do I have a political deathwish.

9. Absolutely!
I'm sorry but this talk of the liberals sucking it up is BULLSHIT! This is a more important issue to us than that. Time to put up a Public Option or lose our support - IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

11. "I can envision a day when you will have to show proof of insurance at the job interview".
-Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries.

Hillary wasn't psychic, she just knows the beltway boys..

A mandate is where we are headed and the public option will be on a trigger with the safety welded on, if we get one at all.

15. Most of the commercials I have seen are from insurance companies who want to fix the problem.
ISn't that amazing? They want to fix the problem. They want to be bipartisan. Sure they do.
