Anybody else "blessed" with Lovebugs this season?
I've vacummed out the garage ten days straight and they keep on coming. I think (hope) we are in the peak of this year's visit. Ya can't drive ten miles down the road without cleaning your windshield. They are almost as aggravating and annoying as fake Patiots

Edited: Or maybe not. After googling I see that a love bug is not a ladybug.

9. Yeah I like them in my garden, but come fall
they move into the house, and cause quite a mess. They will gather on my ceilings in the thousands.

10. No.
Different bug altogether

Love Bugs:

Lady Bugs:

Lady Bugs are beneficial insects. Love Bugs are pests.

Nasty and disgusting
lil critters named because they spend their whole lives making love, then they die. There are literally billions of the couplers. They aren't harmful and do not have a natural predator but Godawful nasty, screwing up windshields and making things a mess in the summer months in the south.

2. Happens to me every year. They start moving in right about now.
The worst is when one lands in your drink and you don't see it. They taste worse than they smell when you vacuum them up.

11. Every season, but generally in the early summer.

They fall into the creek where the trout lap 'em up... temporarily. There's something about ladybugs that causes trout to cough 'em up. The bugs float back up to the top and eventually fly away unharmed.

Some folks collect 'em and sell 'em for aphid control and the like.

ON EDIT: I see we're talking about two different bugs.
