He definitely was the ringmaster. That Cardinal Egan bit he did was some of the most vile material aired as "comedy" I'd ever heard.

The other thing to remember was McGuirk arranged most of the guests on the show and in that role surely was good buds with a lot of the people who appeared on the show.

The fact he's gone from the airwaves and out of a job is good enough for me.

We only know the show was cancelled and Imus was fired.

I feel sorry for Chris and Lou - they laughed, but they didn't lead

Imus was very nasty on-air to Chris, who, by the way announces the games for Rutgers. Chris was out for a week with supposed stomach probs, but my friends in northern Jersey say they saw him walking around. Who knows?
