I just sent a message to my Senators about Health Care reform
I am so tired of the "health care debate" which has gone on entirely too long - I remember the Republican resistance back in '92 and '94. Their "message" hasn't changed at all. Here is what I sent to my Senators:

I am writing to request that you support President Obama in reforming our health care system, including a public option. It is beyond time that this issue be resolved in America. I want you to know that, as a constituent, I support health care reform and I support President Obama. I remember the "health care debate" the Republicans had in 1992 and 1994. That was so many years ago, and they are still saying the same old worn out things and they are still siding with big pharma and with big insurance over the interests of the American people on this issue. Furthermore, the Republicans are still using fear mongering and screaming "socialism" even though universal health care is not socialism! Health care is a right, not a privilege. It is high time that Americans were covered regardless of "pre-existing conditions" or job changes. We pay too much and get too little under the current system. This cannot go on for years to come. America can do better. We need our Congress and our Senate to pass universal health care reform now. It is your job to represent my interests and the interests of other Americans on this issue as well as others so I want you to know where I stand. Thank you for your service to your constituents and to your country.

I am late getting this sent as I know many of you have already done this and more but if you haven't please take a minute to let your "representatives" know where you stand on this issue. Thanks DU. You're the best.

2. I'm always wondering...
What I should do since my representative is one of the most conservative (and corrupt!) members of the House. His townhall meetings are invite only. The information on his site is blatant lies. It's like trying to convince a member of FR to accept health care reform.

I stick to mailing my senators, Boxer and Feinstein.

6. I wrote an e-mail and told him that I hope he didn't let us down, I want to
support public option. I told him if we don't get a single payer or a public option to forget my vote in 2012 and that I would not give to the party any longer.

7. Don't just stop after one email.
Email the white house, speaker Pelosi, Harry Reid, Max Baucus and anyone else you can think of. These people are supposed to represent us...not the insurance companies and it's time we reminded them of that. We didn't go to the polls in record numbers in November to elect Insurance Company Representatives!
