OMG! I just heard about Corzine's car accident!
Hope everything turns out okay for him and he recovers quickly. He'll be having surgery on it tomorrow.

1. He was ENROUTE to the Imus-Rutgers meeting when it happened.
Now, a conspiracy theorist would make something of that....

4. They're still looking for the driver
I'm just surprised there wasn't anything on the...take that back. No, I'm not suprised. The Imus thing has sucked the air out of everything to the point of over kill at this point.

It certainly is a strange coincidence.

7. It was mentioned in the context of the coverage of the meeting at the governor's mansion last night.
And there was some discussion of it this morning, as well.

He is in critical condition, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Quite a smooth move by that hit and run driver--to be able to crash into the frigging governor's motorcade, and escape so easily!

6. It's going to be a while before he's back at work...and months
before he's walking normally again (according to the piece). They said it was unclear whether or not he was wearing his seatbelt. The two others in the car received only minor injuries.

10. I would say probably not since the driver had minor injuries
and the back seat passenger had none at all. He broke his sternum as well has his femur in 2 places. Had to imagine the seatbelt would break his sturnum. I don't know if the front passenger side of the car was crushed (that would explain the broken leg even if he had a seatbelt).

5. NBC briefly showed footage last night.
Then this a.m. I heard it reported it'll be months before he can walk properly (?)

Poor guy.

Best wishes.

8. Yes. They reported that he fractured one of his vertebrae
but it didn't effect his spinal cord. Also, broken leg, 6 broken ribs, broken collar bone etc.

And yes, he most likely wasn't wearing a seat belt....it's not him, according to the breaking news reports that started at 7:00PM last night.
