3. Good question Sir
To compare Teddy Kennedy to Jack Kemp is fall down funny. Mind-wobbling is an understatement. I could not believe what I heart.

Sekoff is tearing Christie a new one.

14. I'm assuming you're being sarcastic, Sir
Jack Kemp was Bob Dole's VP nominee in 1996. He and VP Gore had probably the most civil and boring debate in the last 30 years.

17. Yes, Sir, I Was
But the sarcasm is an accurate measure of the gap in public stature.

15. Kemp was a Texas GOP who died on May 2, 2009
His stature in Congress was measured by the nation's interest in his funeral.

8. Nobody gives a shit what you want, Ron.
In celebrating Teddy's life, we celebrate all he stood for and accomplished. In the nicest possible terms: tough cookies.

9. Jack Kemp was OK for a puke and we don't need to tear him down in order to praise Kennedy.

21. Kemp sent someone else to die for him in Vietnam so he could keep playing professional football
Edited on Fri Aug-28-09 05:34 PM by NNN0LHI
He got a medical draft deferment to avoid combat in Vietnam while still playing professional football. And he supported the Vietnam War.

I would say Kemp was a typical Rethug. But I don't know about being OK?

18. Jack Kemp was a fairly decent human being, despite his politics
Which is something I really can't say about many Republicans in the last 50 years or so. But he was certainly no Ted Kennedy. Crosseyed Mary's just talking out his ass as usual.

20. His funeral was very sedate and understated.
I guess that's why hardly anybody actually knew Kemp was dead.
