The government is by far the largest employer in the country and government workers get their health insurance through Private Health Insurers with our tax dollars.
Passing the single-payer Kennedy healthcare bill would save government at all levels billions of dollars each year. pssst...this would be an act of conserving resources.
So why aren't Mayors and Governors loudly speaking out in support of 'Medicare for All' during a time of cutbacks and deficits????
Just think what a windfall it would be to school districts to cut health insurance for teachers in half.
If I'm not mistaken, the Public Option won't be available to government workers and won't realize the cost-savings of Medicare for ALL.
