love and respect; some nodding, some bowing at the waist, many making the sign of the cross and whispering a prayer, many wiping away a tear. What really breaks me up though is when some old bent-over vet stops, stands up straight and gives a purposefully-slow and respectful full salute. This just tears me up, but makes me feel so proud.
