"Liberals are afraid of the concept of death...

...because it destroys the idea of a perfect utopian future."

Just heard that on Joe Scar's MSNBC morning suckfest.

I am now 22.4% dumber for having heard that.

3. As a liberal, I realize my utopian future would be much closer to reality if some people would drop
dead.

5. Joey Scab, Joe the Scar, and Joey Boombots, are all the same person and the way you can
tell is that he talks out of both sides of his mouth which is an interesting trick when you think about it.

He has managed to paint the bewildered liberals, with the same brush as the big-mouth-anti-health-care-townies...."both sides need to elevate the discourse"....bullshit.

You, dear Will, can only recover your damaged gray matter, by turning off the bastard.

:hi:

All that gas building up in his brain has to be released somewhere. Where else but through his mouth?

9. Conservatives aren't afraid of other people's deaths
Iraqis, Americans without adequate healthcare, Americans without homes or food. American troops in useless wars. No problem with those deaths.

12. His usual peckerable logic...& composted wisdom
I forget, was it liberal Christians or Conservative Fundamentalist Christians that invented "The Rapture" so they could get into eternal Paradise without even bothering to die first?

In any case, I find the concept of some folks' deaths quite comforting, not frightening. It actually enhances my idea of a perfect Utopian future.

I simply can't watch Morning Blowhard & Mika; it negatively affects my metabolism.

14. Too ambitious. He blew it at 'because'.
He's capable of making statements that are well-formed,, and maybe even juxtaposing several of them, but put some kind of formal operator in between, and it all goes pear-shaped in a hurry.

15. ??
death may be the ONE thing in life i am totally comfortable with...even if you could, living forever would be a nightmare for a multitude of reasons....

funny how conservatives have such a single-minded view about death...i guess none of them believe in rebirth

21. That a code word argument
and goes back to a decidely RW religious outreach to certain Evangelical groups. Liberals are perceived as a threat because they can see a world perfected by humans. Liberals and humanists can see progress as the force that overcomes death itself. For these groups, this is a function that only Christ Resplendent after the Last Days (or the Rapture or whatever apocalyptic event signifies and end of days) occurs.

Liberals are bad precisely because they blatantly seek to take the place of God. Death cannot be overcome, it comes from God and is a part of the plan. Truely righteous people don't fear death, because it is of God and the means of reuniting with that God. Clueless Joe or his guest is pretty on-message for this particular RW point of view.

Disclaimer: I don't believe this. Don't shoot the messenger here. But I know code words when I hear them and this is a RW religious code word thing. Clueless Joe is going back to his roots.
