Senator Ensign will host a tele-town hall to discuss health care reform Tuesday night at 6 pm.

The Republican's office will call Nevadans at random using a list from the Secretary of State's Office

To put your name on that list, contact Ensign's office at 702-388-6605. There is no guarantee that you will be able to participate. snip

His office confirms that over the past few weeks, the senator has participated in tele-town halls with Nevadans that have not been publicized.

If you don't publicize them whats the point?

1. Is that like drunk dialing?
Do calls to his current mistress count toward the "tele-town hall" total?

2. All the Nevada Congresscritters have been doing this
to one degree or another. Democratric congresscritters Dina Titus and Harry Reid have both had tele-town halls that had very little publicity. Small notices on their websites, mostly.

And both used the same technique of "don't call us, we'll call you" - except this is the first time I've seen the bit about calling the SOS's office to even get on the list of potentials.

These aren't town halls in any way, shape, or form - they're invite only and defeat the purpose of participatory democracy.

Makes me sick to my stomach.
