Kennedy legacy vs. Bush legacy
What is the difference? JFK served less than three years as President. GHWB and GWB served twelve years as President. The difference is that JFK, Bobby, and Teddy embodied a compassion and devotion to the average American citizen that the Bushes had no interest in comprehending.

1. Pa-LEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE. You spoke of "legacy" and cited yrs as President
The Peace Corps?

The Special Olympics?

On another board in another lifetime, myself and a great guy named Russ spent the day listing Kennedy accomplishments to Bush Family's. I can spare you a LOT of time. Honey, it ain't even CLOSE.

3. The Kennedys were hard working, brilliant and committed to their...
ideals and this country. The Bush family are dim witted, criminals who attained power by trading their influence to the corporate enemies of the American people.

8. The Kennedys served to serve the nation
GWB served only himself (I have a slightly higher opinion of his father, though I cannot, for the life of me, remember why just now)

9. The Kennedys served the people.
GHWB was a part of the October surprise and Iran/Contra. GWB gave tax breaks to the wealthy, violated laws, ignored warnings of the 9/11 attacks, got us into the Iraq war through lies, encouraged torture, and pursued imperial power of the presidency by executive orders and signing statements.
