Must see: WAR in a haunting sand animation

Ukraine's Got Talent: woman tells a story of WWII with sand on a light table... beautiful and haunting.

http://bit.ly/zDFFT

The 24 year-old artist, Kseniya Seminova, won the Ukraine's version of the "Got Talent" series this year. Approximately one-quarter of her country's population died in WWII.

This is not a "political video" per se but a rather work of art that serves as a fierce reminder to us all of what war does.

This is the forever imprint real nazis leave on an entire culture. Watch the people in the audience, they know what she's doing and they know, just from the iconic images, what she is describing.

The people who enjoy comparing people to nazis, on both sides, should take a long look at this.

Watching this, and the reactions of the people in the audience, gave me pause for a moment. How lightly and stupidly we throw around the terms "Nazi" and "Hitler" and the imagery of the Third Reich in this country. These people, among others, felt that horror first hand. I wonder if the Ukranians are so blithe to use Nazi imagery over trifles?
