The answer IS Medicare For All. Start talking about it, Mr. President!
Mr. President, we need you to go out there and tell the American people that despite your best efforts to engage and work with Republicans on improving the state of health care for America's citizens, the Republicans have made it stunningly clear that they will not support ANY ideas put forward to accomplish that.

It is now the sole mission of Republicans/conservatives to destroy the presidency, and most especially THIS presidency, because Republicans are no longer in charge, and you represent the demise of decades of that Republican power structure.

Republicans have spent the last nearly 40 years destroying safeguards against the disasters that now are finally bringing down our country: financial; environmental; social; political; foreign policy; all systematically de-constructed, bringing with them the severely weakened state of our country and the lives of our people.

Republicans/conservatives rant about *the failure of government*, while at the same time they want us to shut our eyes and ears to who was actually running that government as that oppressive failure was in progress. It is because of Republicans/conservatives laying waste to our government for decades, that we are suffering mightily today.

Mr. President, end this farce!

America voted for CHANGE. Too many are sick and dying and losing hope every day for our health care not to become a human right, a moral right, a civil right. People are hopelessly confused about what is happening. It is not good out here, Mr. President.

We want you to start talking about expanding Medicare for all of our citizens. And we want you to take this direction in our health care system, and shepherd it through Congress. Congress needs direction. We cannot allow a few with self-centered interests to destroy the one opportunity we have to make a difference in the lives of millions.

We must have sweeping change in our health care delivery system and we need it now. Social Security and Medicare have survived and thrived for decades. Similar sweeping change in our health care delivery system must be a permanent change as well, that cannot be dismantled the next time Republicans/conservatives find some way to muscle themselves into power.

It has been a half a century effort by Republicans/conservatives to dismantle and destroy Social Security and Medicare and they will never quit trying. That is why we need sweeping, permanent change for our health delivery system, with the expansion of Medicare, for all. It will be permanent, because the people will refuse to relinquish their civil right to it. We must give this right of universal health care to the people.

It is imperative, Mr. President.

Blast through this decades-old swamp of obstructionism, greed and dogma, Mr. President.

Put Medicare For All front and center for all Americans. This is what we want.

We remember your words not so long ago:

This is our moment. This is our time.

Yes, Mr. President.

Thanks for this post. The "Public Option" is a diffuse, undefined term that confuses many voters. The Public Option was a compromise from the call for single-payer. The Republicans have demonstrated that they are not willing to compromise and only want to block any reform. The Blue Cross Dems are singing a similar tune, substituting the word "cooperatives" for straight out obstruction. Cooperatives won't provide universal coverage and any real reduction in costs.

Medicare for All" is simple and straight forward. Those on Medicare are generally satisfied with it. Their relatives and friends know this and want to be on it themselves. Let's forget the confusing half measures and demand "Medicare for All". We need to sing from the roof tops -- like the Iranians demanded an honest vote count. Americans like Medicare. "Medicare for All" will be a winner if we go out and push it loud and long enough.
