Excellent explanation by Prof. Deborah Tannen on why the repukes are fighting so hard against health
care reform.
She quotes Newt Gingrich from way back in the early 90s as saying the Democrats would be unbeatable if they succeed in health care reform.
She also mentions Frank Luntz and his opinion that Fear is a salable product.

There are some very interesting insights here from two professors of communication and one of American History.
It is only 17 minutes..but VERY worthwhile.

1. They fear we will earn one party rule for 40 years or more.
Something they failed to do with their Unitary Executive (Permanent republican majority).
