Democratic Congresspeople and Senators - I am putting you ON NOTICE! Dump the compromises...
and dump the public option - It's perfectly clear to me that Republicans have no interest in getting involved with health care reform. It's time to dump that idea. I want you to give single payer plan a try - you will be surprised and pleased with how many people in YOUR area supports the concept. Employers will no longer have to pay health care - ensuring that Americans will have more money, and with that in mind, I would suggest that you spend the rest of your free time away from the office walking and talking to people - especially those who are FOR single payer, Ask them questions - are they happy with the current insurance payment or listen to those horror stories of greedy insurance companies whose sole responsibility is not the patient, but rather the shareholders. Keep the shareholders out of the dollars, because health care is what falls under the Constitution as "general welfare", not "profit".

It's time to get started. Way past time to get started. Let's go people!

1. Going to single payer might make the "moderates" want to negotiate more too...

If they understand that by them not REALLY playing ball before and trying to destroy any kind of meaningful bill, that their non-compromising behavior might lead to something worse (from THEIR point of view, but of course not from ours!) than if they'd been more honestly trying to reach compromise instead of just being an obstacle.

3. Yes! Medicare for All
The only effective solution to the exorbitant medical costs and the exclusion of 50 million Americans from access to health care is Medicare for All. Health care is not a commodity it is a necessity -- like fire and police protection. It would cost at least 25% less if everyone were in the government's Medicare system, and the government would also be able to negotiate down drug costs for everyone.

Thanks for your post.
