any updates on Sen. Kennedy's Health?

I love the guy....

Hones-ly. I Love The Guy !!!!!

I found an article discussing how Teddy's illness has united the family but it does not speculate on when he may return to The Senate.

I know he was not well enough to come to D.C. and accept his Medal Of Freedom last week.On Tweety's show today he speculated that Ted won't be well enough to vote on the Health Care Bill a week before Halloween. If Sen. Kennedy is so ill that we can count on him not showing up for a vote this important, both to him and to our country, is it time to think about his stepping down as Senator? (His son, Rep. Patrick Kennedy son would make an excellent replacement IMO)

I hate the thought of that too, but it might be best for everyone. Does he really need the pressure of being a sitting Senator when he is desperately ill.

I don't know what the MA rules are for replacing a Senator that resigns but I assume the Gov. can appoint someone, and we do have a Dem in that office (with an approval rating of about 19%).

Sorry if this seems cold or unfeeling, I wish the guy nothing but the best. Unfortunately he isn't the only person who's health is on the line right now.

1. From The Little Reports I've Seen/Heard
He's not gonna make it.

It seems as if he accepted this early on in his recent diagnosis...you could see it in his demeanor.

I think he knows the end is nigh and has accepted it.

He's had a good life though...so no worries.

2. I didn't see him out making public comments when his sister died.
So I suspect he is pretty ill.

3. the accounts from his family discussing his inability to attend
Eunice Shriver's funeral mass, sounded grim. I pray for the best. I want him back, but most of all, I don't want him to suffer unnecessarily. He's gone through quite enough in his life. Teddy is one of a kind, genuinely.

7. I saw images on Boston news of him being driven to the private wake for Eunice
He didn't look good at all. He didn't go to any of the public events at all. I've heard that he may have lost the ability to speak, which is really sad. :(

9. I agree.
I have little doubt he would have attended her funeral if he was evenly slightly mobile. Since he wasn't there his condition must be terrible. I just hope he isn't in much pain.

He can certainly say he did something with his life!

4. Glioblastoma will end his life.
If he's out of sight, it will be soon, and it should be in private, because it is not the most dignified death (i've seen it up close, & recently). if he could get to the hill, he'd be there. he'll be in office the day he dies, just like Byrd.

6. I had a 3rd grade teacher who was diagnosed with the same cancer at about the same time
he was and she just died last week,. If the cancer follows a similar progression things can't be looking good for Teddy.

11. The comments on this site's chat forums are sickening whenever his name is mentioned.
