At the closing, the suggestion was made that the Democrats would give up on a public option and settle for insurance co-ops instead. Dick Armey, having seemingly defeated the public option, began to attack the notion of insurance co-ops!

Not only that, but the statements he made about Medicare were practically word for word from what Reagen said for the AMA back in 1961! (Just Google:Ronald Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine. All the links are to Right Wing sites , so I can't bring myself to post a direct link.)

OK, time to stop playing nice. If the Blue Dogs won't back public option, start kicking them out of their committee chairs and start looking for someone else to back in their districts.

1. Unfortunately, it may be too late. The playing nice started with Single Payer not even getting a

seat at the table to even begin to counter the massive influence of the insurance companies well represented there.

He's obviously lying when Rachel takes him to task on his claim about Moveon, and he just repeats it.

That's the GOP style (and unfortunately some folks here on DU on other topics) to just keep repeating the lie.
