Great idea to show support for health care reform at rallies:
From "xaxnar's diary" at Daily Kos:

From "xaxnar's diary" at Daily Kos:
Make, beg, or borrow 50 life size silhouettes of people for your next town hall meeting, public demonstration, or photo op. Make them all ages, sizes, sexes - old people, hunks, children, infants, average - the whole gamut of Americans in other words. Paint them all black. When the media tries to find out what it all means, tell them these represent the 50 Americans who die every day because they lack health insurance.

Make up stories about the silhouettes, like the one denied insurance because of a family history of heart disease, or diabetes, or cancer. The baby born too soon because the mother couldn't get pre-natal care. The senior citizen who had to choose between prescription drugs or heating their home. The woman who put off finding out what that lump in her breast was. The man who didn't get screened for cholesterol. The person working 3 part-time jobs to survive, none of which had health benefits. And so on. There are at least 40 million stories out there.

Use the silhouettes where ever they will do some good. Stage a photo-op outside the local office of your Congressman -the one who won't support the public option. Put them outside a FOX news station with a sign "This many people die every day, while FOX lies about health care reform. Get them put up on a billboard near a major highway. Put a message up "This many Americans die every day for lack of health insurance. XXXXX since (pick a date, and roll the total up by 50 every day.) That's like another 911 every 60 days."

Make 50 of them paper doll size, put them in an envelope, and mail to Rush Limbaugh. Repeat for Sarah Palin, Grassley, Baucus, O'Reilly, Hannity, Savage, etc. Repeat until we get real health care reform in America.

I would use big Xs on the forms rather than paint them all black.

If you can't get cutouts, paint lifesize figures on a large roll of paper. That could be carried from rally to rally.
If somebody knows a sign company that is sympathetic to reform, maybe they would make a vinyl banner that would not be prone to wear.
