Katie Couric Denounces "Fear" And "Ignorance" Driving People To Town-Hall Forums On Health Care Reform

Katie Couric denounced the "fear and frankly ignorance" that is driving people to town-hall forums on health care in her "Notebook" segment.

She expressed alarm that the debate has stirred up a hornet's nest and has "uncovered disturbing attitudes and emotions that have nothing to do with policy. Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the President is speaking?"

13. Don't forget, Katie's husband died of colon cancer. She's been a huge supporter of
early screening and colonoscopy's.. I think she even allowed the taping of her own a while back. If people don't have healthcare, they are not going to get the early detection.. and even if they did, they wouldn't be able to afford the treatment. Healthcare is one issue. The racist fear-mongering at the townhalls is disgusting.. these people forgot their robes when they got off the crazy bus.
