Shriver, the fifth of nine children to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Kennedy, died Tuesday after a series of strokes.

6. I see Sgt. Shriver at a diner fairly regularly. He has a couple of men with him

at all times. One day, he noticed my "Sub Base New London, Conn." sweatshirt. A re-creation of an early 1960s sweatshirt. He had been a submarine officer in WWII.

wife and children were all there.

In 2007 it was reported he did not recognize his wife.

If he didn't recognize his wife of xx years, then it's hard to imagine that he could remember his granddaughter. And yet there is he is, allowing himself to be comforted by this little girl.
