Are we ist's at DU? Do we demonstrate the ism's?

I was just accused of being a stupid-ist and showing strong characteristics of having stupid-ism qualities in relation to my ROFLMAO at Katy Abrams interview with Lawrence O'Donnell.

That made me think about my absolute intolerance of the "other side." So I guess my ist's contributing to having isms are:

Republicans/conservatives, making me a republican-ist and/or conservative-ist and having republican-ism or conservative-ism
Birthers-ist
Freepers-ist
Civil War fanatics-ist, etc

So if I have an ism against racists, sexists, age-ists, weight-ists, etc, what does that make me---a racist-ist, a sexist-ist?

Help me out here.

I'm just watching the Philly news, and there was a huge fight in Winfield yesterday - at a wedding reception!!! Started by the bride!!!!

Police were called, several were injured, at lest one arrested.
Wonder if the new husband is having second thoughts....

we're aware of it.

Personally, I think "ists" are everywhere...even here at DU.

What makes me furious...or maybe even feel a little sorry for the ones doing it...is that some people refuse to acknowledge "isms" in themselves although they're real quick to point their fingers at others.

Me...yeah. There are times I have a bunch of "isms" going on. I can even be a raging hypocrite at times. But at least I'm aware of my tendencies. I'm an imperfect human being. To see some of the name-calling that sometimes goes on around here, one would think that the place is full of saints or something.

so really, I wouldn't worry too much about what other people want to call you. You, at least, have enough self awareness and maturity to exercise some introspection.
