5. Who could have predicted this last November, just before the election
that prices would skyrocket right after the first of the year? Who I say? And who could have ever predicted the excuses that would be used to explain the skyrocketing prices?
Must be like 250,000,000 clairvoyants in America.

10. $1.89 here. People were smiling
4 months and it's a buck higher. Hard to budget with shit like that. Now a lot of companies who held back are passing the costs on.

16. Yeah
Who could imagine that gas prices would go up before Spring Break and continue to go up as we head into the summer driving season???

I mean it's not like gas prices have been going higher in the spring/summer and lower in the fall/winter ever before.

11. I read that Kuchinich sent a letter to the heads of oil companies in regards t
shutting down refineries and creating artificial shortages to keep prices driven up. The article also spoke of passing a windfall tax on these oil companies so anything they make over a certain point goes 100% to taxes.

I hope he can get support on this bill

14. Not to defend the oil guys, but It's a finite resource. Long term, it's NEVER getting any cheaper.
My advice is to get used to paying through the nose for it, unless you can run your car on something else.

my Prius....he's a Ford man and an auto mechanic. He apparently thinks my Prius is a tinker toy.:( I told my son today to ask his friend how much his dad is laughing NOW. Gas is $2.95 and going up. If gas hits $5.00 a gallon...I'll be paying $55.00 A MONTH. How much will his dad be paying per month?:) At $2.95 I still pay less than $30.00 a month for gas. I bet the kids' asshole dad pays more than that. Why do people want to begrudge me the pleasure of saving the environment? I just don't get it.

17. He's a "Ford Man", and he's laughing at a Toyota?
That's like being an Uwe Boll man, laughing at Stanley Kubrick.
