I don't think people realize just how sick these bastards are. Anyone remember the last time the "unthinkable happened" many of the right wingers (particularly in the southern states) actually cheered? There were cases of schools in the south that actually celebrated.

People need to realize such a thing would not slow them down at all. And the right wing fools on TV of course would be saying how horrible it was, but when the cameras turned off secretly they would be pleased. These people DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES! That's why they don't give a damn if the poor don't have health care. They just - don't - care.

It was not widely reported and was attempted to be covered up after the fact because it was a mark of shame, but there were instances of it happening among hard right wingers in parts of the south. Same thing happened with MLK. Not widely reported, but it happened once again in parts of the south.

I was living in Oklahoma at the time and also traveled to Texas, Louisiana & Mississippi a lot on business. I did not ever hear one person say anything positive about that situation. On the contrary their was widespread grief & sorrow in the parts of the south I frequented. So instead of vague "not widely reported" please include names of schools, states or the specific parts of the south where this allegedly happened.
