8. It would be nice if she could work her way
into a better position with them. Its good that they didn't weed out her resume for being overqualified. But I heard this from one of the 149 people who was also overqualified and didn't get the job.

10. This is, unfortunately, the way of the world at the moment.
Some jobs I've applied to have received over 500 resumes.

14. It is a good job for an unemployed professional
Exactly what I will be looking for when my unemployment runs out. It will leave my days free to look for work in my field as well as go to interviews that may come up without disrupting my job that pays the bills. Anything I might get during the day could be problematic. It is quiet, only the sound of animals (I find that relaxing), no customers to deal with, probably a night differential and it also has the added benefit of giving you some exercise without being overly difficult (hey, I'm a programmer, exercise is a foreign language). All in all, a primo job for the unemployed professional.

15. unemployed and look, so I know exactly what you are saying,
but having worked stock in a pet store, I must say that lifting, hauling and rotating stock when it consists of 50 pound sacks of dog food does have its draw backs.
