Can the President commit to 1) A strong public option approved by Howard Dean, Conyers and Kucinich;

2) The ability to negotiate bulk drug prices with Big Pharma;

3) Keeping the Kucinich amendment to allow for state single payer;

4)Ending rescission for any reason including quote-unquote "fraud";

5) Applying the "TAX ON INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT ACCEPTABLE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE" (in HR3200), to apply to the persons next-year public option premium;

6) The public health insurance option to offer one good plan for all Americans, not four choices that are confusing.

7) Y1 start date should be 2010, not 2013 or 2012.

1. Never mind Obama. Ask Congress...
...where actual legislation is written.

Within broad parameters what Obama does or wants is irrelevant.

4. He's doing the negotiating
Because he is the one who, in February, has invited a long string of corporate lobbiests in to negotiate the structure of the reform plan. Kinda puts him smack dab in the middle of everything.

3. He needs to lead us real reform and draw some lines in the sand. I think it's his job; to lead.
