I hope it is that there are many Americans out there that are misinformed and manipulated. I really don't think - up to now - that they knew that - or if they did - they really didn't acknowledge it in any formal manner.

They need to do a better job informing the American people so that Town Halls can really be places where good discourse happens.

They need to go to the people first - before they write bills and ask people what they want - and what they don't want. Then write the bill.

Instead - they sit in their committee rooms in D.C. - listen to the corporations and lobbyists - and then try and push all the compromises down the throats of the people - after the fact.

The process is convoluted. It needs to be turned around 180 degrees.

... because if we all had - and Understood - ALL of the facts, every single one of them (well, except for Kucinich) would have been out on his/her ass long ago for conflict-of-interest or not representing their constituents.

They don't want us to have facts, they want us to have 'mottos' and 'sound bytes' and 'campaign talking points'.
