Hannity bringing his parade of losers to WV to support mountaintop removal
Edited on Mon Aug-10-09 08:03 PM by Adenoid_Hynkel
the pressure's been on Massey and the coal industry as activist efforts against MTR have stepped up.
so they needed a media shill to come in and do p.r. for them.

enter sean hannity and his usual crew of idiots, who are holding their fake labor event on a former mtr mine:

---
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -A group including mine operators Massey Energy and International Coal Group say country singer Hank Williams Jr. and rock musician Ted Nugent are going to take part in a free Labor Day concert in southern West Virginia.

Organizers say the Sept. 7 concert will be part of what they're calling the Friends of America Rally. The lineup also includes radio personality Sean Hannity.

Ruth Lemmon, president of the West Virginia Automobile & Truck Dealers Association, says the rally is being held to let the nation's leaders know that organizers support American jobs.

----
Massey's big talking point is that the activists, including Daryl Hannah and James Hansen of NASA, are out-of state and need to 'go home.'
Yet they have no problem with Long Island Sean and the UK's celebrated global warming denier taking their stage.

7. Friends of America, my ass
If you truly loved America, why would you want to destroy its natural beauty and poison the air, water and land.

There's other ways to get the coal. This is just the fastest and cheapest.

9. And uses the least amount of labor too.
but the coal companies will talk about saving jobs ...... in S.E. Ohio they used the UMW workers in the 70 & 80s ....
all about saving jobs .... the number of miners now is a fraction of what it once was.

10. What kind of awful jerk can support removing our mountaintops???
The same jerk who has no problem filling our spacious skies with clouds of noxious gas?
Who takes glee (and profit) at taking the shine out of our seas?
Who wants to genetically alter our amber waves of grain?
Don't get me started about brotherhood !!!!!

Purple mountains majesty?? I can just hear the Fauxrage. Ugh what jerks.

17. Hmmm. Coincidence - this morning and I think one day last week,
while watching the Washington Journal on C-span, a Republican caller called in and was against the mountaintop removal. Hannity might lose a few fans.
